The super thug is back!
Before you watch the new video please read this news story from Hip Hop DX, cracked me up...
With the CNN Channel 10 reunion album coming this spring, N.O.R.E. has been attempting a comeback of sorts. Through his video blogs, he has been taking fans through this journey, even filming himself on a workout plan. But, that comeback has been slightly halted by problems with the law.
This Sunday, N.O.R.E. was arrested after tossing a cup of yellow liquid on a man and punching him in the face at a local Fatburger in South Beach, Florida.
According to the Miami Herald, N.O.R.E. and three other men walked in to the burger restaurant in a loud manner, shortly before N.O.R.E. ripped a decorative flower bouquet out of its place. Then, according to a police report, N.O.R.E. offered an unknown man the cup with yellow liquid in it. The man refused to take it, so Noreaga threw it at him.
''Do you know who I am?'' he allegedly yelled, before striking the man in the face three times.
N.O.R.E. and the three men accompanying him were running out of the restaurant when police arrived on the scene. All were apprehended. According to the report, N.O.R.E. was charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct in a licensed establishment.
Reacting via Twitter, the recently health-conscious rapper has emphasized he was eating veggie burgers, and refuted claims of breaking the flowerpot.

Home made hip hop defined
This is great, I can't explain why, and on paper it doesn't really work. But when you throw in the liberty of hip hop and the eccentricity of London based music you can see why it has worked. Not to mention the 4 simultaneous versions of the video, which gives it that alternative twist kinda like 'Why Must I Cry' by Rehdogg which is also unconventionally enetertaining and just as eccentric. I also enjoy the fact that it shows just his life, nothing pretentious (especially the rapping). The guy behind this is NSG (Nutyas Surya Gumilang) who moved to Hackney from Jakarta, Indonesia when he was 10 and his album Working Class Superstar is out now.
Make sure you listen to this grime version of Crank dat souljah boy. It's hot enuff to want to listen to another round of learning how to "super man that hoe"

Video: The Lonely Island - I'm On A Boat (ft. T-Pain)
Normally with comedic hip hop tunes you get a bunch of dudes who can't really rap but can afford to make an average music video and get a semi decent production behind it. This is the case here except they CAN rap (albeit good imitations of big rappers today) and have a good video/beat.
The difference is in this case they've paid $000's to bring T-Pain in who provides his golden touch in the form of a chorus and adlibs to make the audience think he's unaware that this track is parody. In terms of what of I reckon it's a parody of, I reckon Movado's modern classic 'On The Rock' may have had an influence on this track (check the big remixes of that also, from Jay-Z, Chipmunk and others).

New track: Scram Jones ft. Saigon, Rhymefest & Haffa - Yes We Can
Before you say "not another Obama hip hop tune" this ones actually better than ur average.Ever since i heard it when it dropped on inauguration day u can hear the true New York sound to it, provided by Scram Jones, and all 3 of them deliver nicely.. especially Saigon. One to look out for to (finally) blow in 2009?
Download:
Scram Jones ft. Saigon, Rhymefest & Haffa - Yes We Can
For added value check this video.. behind the scenes of the video shoot. Rhymefest makes up for not selling records by goin all 'activist' on the world, and Haffa (as yet unheard of to my ears) breaks down why it was necessary to make this.

Grime MC Ribz banged up
Fading grime MC Ribz has been identified on camera "as the man who recently dragged a girl into a subway in NW London where he tried to rape her but was passing cyclist raised the alarm and scared him off. While he escaped on a mountain bike, his victim remembered the distinctive script of the large tattoos on his arms"[source].
'Gully bre'
Ribz, whose real name is Elias Kajue has been described by one of London's free rags, The London Paper as a "violent drug-user who had a string of previous convictions" and say how he "struck as his 23-year-old victim waited for an early morning train at Cricklewood station in north-west London."
Ribz has been jailed indefinitly and will have to serve at least 6 years after being convicted, with the tatoos on his arms being used to identify him.
Ribz was known as one of the featured artists in the anthemic 'Pull Up Dat Forward' and part of former crew Gully Gang who are now de-funct to the members being locked up...
