Video: KEN BOOTHE - JOURNEY

The reggae veteran, who's been active since the late 1950s(!) recently dropped the video for this soulful and mystic track which is off his latest album of the same name.

Video: Walter Ego Feat. Trim – Set Off

Sheffield producer Walter Ego drops this eski grime sounding beat for Trim to vocal in the way he does best! Loving the Gameboy/Super Mario samples in the beat too!

VIDEO: ORANGE HILL - PON TIME FT. VYBZ KARTEL PT.1

Following on from their massive debut club smash 'Wine de Best' which featured Busy Signal, Fatman Scoop & Kano, Orange Hill Productions return with their new single, this time collaborating with dancehall don Vybz Kartel.

With early support from top tastemaker DJs like Robbo Ranx, Toddla T, Mistajam and the Heatwave, this one is tipped to continue Ras Kwame and Jnr. Tubby's [aka Orange Hill] injection of electrobashment to the club scene worldwide.

Look out for Part 2 of the movie featuring Sneakbo on the video REMIX!

Video: Granville Sessions - Watch This

One of the most exciting groups to come out of the UK hip hop scene in recent years, Granville Sessions  combine underground style emceeing with live instrumentation. They've just dropped this new video off their debut release 'No State' available for free from http://granvillesessions.bandcamp.com.

Video: Saskilla & Jamkay - About Dis Life

Big new video from these two lyrical grime MCs, with Saskilla best known as one half of Nu Brand Flexx and Jam Kay repping Wave Gang! Strong track.

Video: Noisses - Run Your Mouth ft. RTKAL, Lady Leshurr & Foreign Beggars

Three massive names in the UK's MC game jump on this heavy weight beat from DJ/producer Noisses. This is out August 6th on Black Butter Records.

29 July 2012

Video: Dot Rotten interview with Blaze TV

The man himself chats to Blaze TV about a bunch of matters... the camera quality may not be best but Dot really opens up and breaks it down about a bag of different subjects...

Video: Rick Ross - Hold Me Back

Rick Rozay brings out this heavy duty 'rags to riches' anthem over a trademark sounding beat he raps on (starting to get a bit tedious 2BH!). However the bars are on point and he stays with that stabbing flow and roughness he's known best for..

Video: Trozion Freestyle for Rep Vdo

Dope bars with an original flow from the up and coming MC we've been supporting for a few years... Trozion's really showing his levels here!

Video: Etta Bond - Boring Bitches ft. Lady Leshurr

One of the most original and entertaining tracks I've heard in a long time, as the UK singer (who you may recognize from the Wretch 32 song 'Forgiveness') comes with this amusing track that mashes up hip hop, dubstep, glitch and Chelsea girls! Leshurr drops some fire at the end to give this track that 'reload-is-a-must' feel!

28 July 2012

Audio: 50 Cent - New Day ft Dr Dre & Alicia Keys

Brand new one from 50's forthcoming album 'Street King Immortal' which is out this autumn... This was produced by Dr Dre and mixed by Eminem.. seems like this is a kind of make or break track for 50 to make his return to the big time, as his quality control has been a bit slipping recently!

27 July 2012

Video: Baby Blue - Target

Dope new video from one of the UK's most consistent rappers, as she drops this Nutty P produced single which is due to drop 20 Aug. Great melodies to top this one off!

Sponsored Video: 'All the best, Man Like Me'

Electro/2-step rapping duo 'Man Like Me' explain how, in this stage of their career which one of them describes as "make or break" they can make use of their Samsung devices to squeeze out the most of their potential as artists, in this crowded circus that we love to call the music industry...

Both during their day job when not doing music, as well as while recording, on tour at their sell out gigs and festival bookings, Man Like Me's devices are used in a number of innovative and productive ways - such as to record lyrics whilst out and about, respond to their fanbase across the social networks and to stay in touch with some guy called Mike Skinner, who they employ to mix down their records.... all in the palm of their hand!

This is part of Samsung Galaxy Note’s current campaign #BreakFree which showcases how creative types can help run their chaotic lifestyles…

VIDEO: C4 - RAVE!

The Birmingham grime MC who is on the rapid come up drops this fun new joint... don't expect any political commentary or advice for success in life, just straight reload bars over Preditah's sick instrumental! Twitter.com/C4_OoRITE

I caught an interview with C4 a few months back, and he actually spat some crazy bars over the same instrumental, take a look...

Audio: Ground Up feat. Action Bronson - Hold Me Down

This is Philadelphia hip hop collective Ground Up's first single off of their upcoming mixtape SUPERNATURAL, and features Action Bronson showing off some dope lyrics, with another banging beat from Ground ups in-house producer 'Bij Lincs'.

Audio: 2 Chainz – ‘Birthday Song’ (Feat. Kanye West)

The Atlanta rapper, who's taking the scene by storm in the lead up to his Def Jam debut album drops this, which is the follow up to the Drake collab 'No Lie', and in my opinion EASILY out does it... However don't expect Lupe Fiasco to be bumping this, he recently spoke out about how he wasn't feeliing it!

Straight female focus on Tity Boi's birthday wish list, and if the album continues at this rate, 'Based On A T.R.U. Story' is bound to be straight PIFF!

Video: Bartoven - Ouch

Brand new video from one of the most progressive lyrical emcees emerging in the UK scene at the moment. South London's Bartoven unleashes the first video from his latest mixtape 'The Raggedy Tape' and speaks the truth about some of his experiences in the music industry and life as an inner city kid growing up.

You can purchase the Raggedy Tape HERE, along with the Raggedy tape T-Shirts and Jumpers coming to bartoven.co.uk in early August.

Video: Macca - No Hook [+ 'Monster Mac' vlog]
