Kwam arrives with the Truth Hurts EP. He goes in with Darko’s remix of Skepta’s DTI, a brave manoeuvre that he pulls off well. This remix and the bars put on it make it the best version of the track since the late Escobar went on it years back. Production stays tight as it goes into harsh production from Spooky for the track ‘My Name’s Kwam’. The tune is reminiscent of P Money’s ‘What Did He Say’ from about a year ago and if anything it’s harder. It still doesn’t let up as ‘We’re Aliens’ rolls in with guest verses from Rival and Marger.
The production stays tight throughout and the bars keep coming. The wordplay is nice, the production is nice, Kwam has command and his flow is strong. Nice debut from another promising MC who is making himself a name fast. Kwam definitely arrives on this one.
